Itineraries

Day 1 (Friday)

Karachi to Islamabad

Departure from Karachi via Super Executive class bus service or train⁣⁣⁣⁣. Travellers who choose to come by air will depart a day later from Karachi.

Day 2 (Saturday)

Arrival in Islamabad

For those traveling by air, the flight to Islamabad will depart from Karachi today. Meanwhile the train/bus travellers are expected to reach Islamabad by 8:00 PM. Travel to guesthouse/hotel via own conveyance (InDrive/Yango). Upon arrival, guests will check into their accommodation at a comfortable guesthouse or hotel such as Hard Rock Lodges, Premier Inn, or an equivalent stay. A delicious dinner will be served, allowing travellers to relax and recharge for the upcoming journey.

Day 3 (Sunday)

Islamabad to Chilas/Jaglot

The day begins with an early morning departure from Islamabad at 5:00 AM. Travellers joining from Islamabad will be informed about the designated meetup location. As the journey unfolds, the road winds through stunning mountainous landscapes, offering breathtaking views of rivers and valleys. A stop for breakfast at Besham or Balakot around 8:00 AM provides an opportunity to refresh and enjoy a traditional meal. Along the way, there will be short stops for sightseeing and stretching before continuing toward Chilas, Jaglot, or Gonar Farm. After approximately 10-12 hours of travel, the group will reach their destination by 8:30 PM, where a warm dinner and a comfortable stay await at either Indus Lodges, United Hotel, or Junction Resort.

Day 4 (Monday)

Chilas/Jaglot to Skardu

After a hearty breakfast at 7:30 AM, the journey resumes towards Skardu. En route, a brief stop at Astak Nala allows travellers to admire the rugged beauty of the region before continuing towards two of Skardu’s most scenic spots—Shangrila Lake & Upper Kachura Lake. Nestled amidst towering mountains, this crystal-clear lake offers a tranquil setting perfect for relaxation and photography. By late afternoon, the group arrives in Skardu and checks into their hotel, where they can unwind after the long journey. A delicious dinner is served at 9:00 PM, followed by an overnight stay at either Al Noor Hotel or Apricot and Spring Lodges or an equivalent accommodation. The total travel time for the day is approximately 5-7 hours.

Day 5 (Tuesday)

Day Trip to Shigar & Manthokha

Following breakfast at 8:00 AM, the group sets out to explore some of Baltistan's most remarkable attractions. The first stop is the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, one of the highest cold deserts in the world, where golden dunes stretch against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Next, a visit to Shigar Fort, a 400-year-old fort that has been transformed into a heritage hotel, offers insight into the region’s royal history and stunning Balti architecture. The journey continues to the mesmerizing Manthoka Waterfall, a stunning cascade surrounded by lush greenery, where visitors can relax and take in the serene atmosphere. After a fulfilling day of exploration, the group returns to Skardu ending the day with dinner and overnight stay at either Al Noor Hotel or Apricot and Spring Lodges or a similar accommodation.

Day 6 (Wednesday)

Day Excursion to Basho Valley OR Deosai

The day begins with a delicious breakfast in the morning, the group embarks on an exciting excursion to either Deosai Plains (if accessible; open June to September) or Basho Valley. Known as the "Land of Giants," Deosai Plains is the world’s second-highest plateau, home to breathtaking landscapes, rare wildlife, and stunning views of Sheosar Lake. If Deosai is inaccessible, we will visit Basho Valley. Accessible via 4x4 vehicles, this hidden paradise is known for its lush green meadows, dense alpine forests, and snow-capped peaks. The valley is a haven for nature lovers, offering an unspoiled retreat away from the bustling city life. After a day of exploration, the group returns to Skardu in the evening. A delightful dinner is served at 9:00 PM, followed by an overnight stay at either Al Noor Hotel or Apricot and Spring Lodges or a similar lodge. The total travel duration for the day is around 3-4 hours.

Day 7 (Thursday)

Skardu to Hunza

After having breakfast at 7:30 AM, we will depart for Hunza. The first stop is Rakaposhi View Point, offering a panoramic vista of the majestic Rakaposhi Peak. The group will visit the ancient Altit Fort, a stunning relic of Hunza’s royal past. The exploration continues with a visit to Baltit Fort, a 700-year-old architectural marvel, followed by a stroll through Hunza Bazaar, where travellers can shop for handicrafts, gemstones, and traditional Hunza cuisine. By 8:00 PM, the group will return to the hotel, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at either Caravan Serai or Qayam Residency or Rainbow Hotel or Equivalent

Day 8 (Friday)

Day Excursion to Upper Hunza

After breakfast at 7:00 AM, an exciting full-day excursion begins at 8:30 AM. The journey will take travellers to the famous Attabad Lake, an azure-blue body of water formed due to a landslide in 2010. The trip continues towards Sost and if accessible, to the Pak-China border at Khunjerab Pass, one of the highest paved roads in the world, situated at an altitude of 4,693 meters. Along the way, the group will stop at Passu Cones, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge, Gulmit Village, and Khunjerab National Park. By 9:00 PM, the group will return to their accommodation in Hunza for dinner and an overnight stay. 

Day 9 (Saturday)

Hunza to Besham/Naran

Breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM before beginning the return journey towards Besham or Naran (in summers). The scenic drive will pass through stunning valleys and winding Karakoram Highway, offering a final glimpse of the breathtaking landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan. By 9:30 PM, the group will arrive at their overnight stay in Besham or Naran. Accommodation options include Besham Hilton or an equivalent hotel while in Naran, stay will be at Naran Retreat, Rose Valley, or Naran Hilton. The estimated travel time is 9-10 hours.

Day 10 (Sunday)

Besham/Naran to Islamabad via Khanpur

After an early breakfast at 8:00 AM, the group will depart at 9:00 AM for Islamabad. En route, there will be a stop at Khanpur Dam, where travellers can indulge in optional water activities, such as jet skiing, boating, and parasailing (activities not included in the packages). Upon arrival in Islamabad, the journey concludes for the members joining from Islamabad. For the members from Karachi, dinner & accommodation will be arranged at Hard Rock Lodges or Premier Inn, or a similar guesthouse. The travel duration for the day is around 5-6 hours.

Day 11 (Monday)

Islamabad to Karachi

A relaxed morning with breakfast is followed by check-out from the hotel at 12:00 PM. Travellers have free time to explore Islamabad or rest before their departure. Departure for Karachi via Super Executive class bus service or train⁣⁣⁣⁣. Reach the train station or bus terminal on your own.

Day 12 (Tuesday)

Arrival in Karachi

The final leg of the journey concludes with arrival in Karachi, marking the end of a memorable adventure through Pakistan’s most spectacular landscapes.

Refund Policy:

•⁠ 100% Refund if cancellation is made three weeks prior the trip.

•⁠ 90% Refund if cancellation is made two weeks prior the trip.

•⁠ 50% Refund if cancellation is made one week prior the trip.

•⁠ 25% Refund if cancellation is made 5 days prior the trip.

•⁠ 0% Refund if cancellation is made in less than 5 days prior the trip.

•⁠ Minimum booking requirement is 10-12 to execute the trip.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ Alpas Travels reserve all the rights to reschedule or change event timings due to city and weather conditions.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ If trip is called off by Alpas Travels due to low registration, city or climate condition, the registered members who have paid will be entitled to a 100% refund or transfer amount to the next trip.

•⁠ All payments must be cleared before departure to Islamabad; otherwise, the departure details will not be shared.

•⁠ All the members should reach the pick-up point an hour before the scheduled time.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ Seat arrangements during the trip are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance. Alpas Travels does not designate specific front or back seats in the Coaster or Grand Cabin. We kindly ask all travellers to cooperate with fellow members and tour guides, keeping in mind the comfort of elderly passengers if they are part of your group. Seat swaps can be arranged through mutual understanding among travellers.

•⁠ Penalty will be charged in case of any damage to the property of Alpas Travels.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ If any destination in the itinerary (other than those previously mentioned) is inaccessible, the guide will consult with the group and decide on an alternative route for the day.

•⁠ Alpas Travels reserve the rights to cancel an individual’s trip due to unethical behaviour with the fellow members, caught carrying illegal drugs or alcohol.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ Alpas Travels will not be held responsible for any personal injury or accident.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ Alpas Travels is not responsible for any loss/damage of your personal belongings.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ Any type of illegal drugs or alcoholic substances and weaponry is strictly prohibited.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ No refund will be made in case of natural disasters or any unexpected circumstances beyond human control.⁣⁣⁣⁣

•⁠ In the event of a natural disaster or landslide, any additional expenses will be the responsibility of the client.
